Ndecheta Family
“The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm." Exodus 14:14

A two room home made of cement and iron sheets without plumbing or electricity is where the Nedechta family calls home. Mr. and Mrs. Nedechta live in Chinsapo with their three children Tiyamike, Lonex and Faith. The father works long hours as a carpenter to provide food and school fees for his family. They are able to eat three meals a day, which consist of n'sima and fish. Tiyamike, the oldest, attends school and her favorite subject is English. She aspires to be a nurse when she grows up. Lonex, the middle child, also attends school and enjoys math. Both children have the opportunity to participate in the tutoring program and the soccer program through The Chisomo Idea who are involved with mentoring individuals and creating community infrastructure in the economically disadvantaged community of Chinsapo. As a family they love to talk and tell jokes and the children love to play. The family’s favorite bible verse is Exodus 14:14, so even when life seems challenging they stay positive and cling to the truth of God's word- that the Lord Himself will fight for them.
