Zainabu Yusufu

About Zainabu Yusufu

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Ephesians 6:1

Zainabu is one of four children and she strives everyday to respect her parents. She lives with her mother and 4 siblings in Chinsapo, Malawi- an area that is congested and economically disadvantaged. Her father has left to work in South Africa- it has been a long time since the family has heard from him. Her mother works as a seamstress to provide for her family, but they are only able to have 2 meals a day of n'sima and eggs. Zainabu uses the energy that she gets from this food to play netball with her friends at the Chisomo Idea field. There she receives spiritual mentoring that helps her to continue on the right path for her life. She is encouraged to work hard in school and enjoys the subject of math. When she grows up she hopes to study and be a nurse to help meet the need of others.
