About Jamila Mustafa
Being a single mom can be challenging at times. If you compound that with living in Chinsapo, Malawi, and economically disadvantaged area, and having 8 children, each day could be a struggle. Jamila Mustafa still tries to keep her spirits up by singing and playing with her children. They reside in a one room home that has cracks in the floor and walls and is not cemented. Regardless of her situation, Jamila is thankful for the Chisomo Idea Loan Program and Women's Empowerment program that has helped her to grow her business selling tomatoes so she can make some money to care for her children. Jamila currently identifies with the Muslim religion, though she regularly attends Chisomo's Christian programs. The Chisomo Idea is thankful to have the opportunity to minister to a diverse population and strive to meet their social, physical, spiritual and intellectual needs.
